The Celtics did call up rookie center Fab Melo from the Maine Red Claws. Rivers also confirmed that Courtney Lee and Jared Sullinger will remain in the starting lineup with Pierce, Avery Bradley and Kevin Garnett.

As I understand it this call up is procedural, like the last time. He's not here to play or practice but to get checked out by team ocs.

And here I was hoping for 30 minutes a game, 10 points, 12 rebounds, 5 blocks and several bone-crushing fouls on guys who drive the paint on us.
Oh well. Fantasy time over.

Melo recalled from Maine
By Chris Forsberg | ESPNBoston.com
The Boston Celtics recalled rookie Fab Melo from the Maine Red Claws of the D-League on Tuesday, but the move appears to simply be procedural again as the 7-foot center had been battling a quadriceps injury that forced him to miss Maine's last game.
Melo was spotted on the floor before Tuesday's practice in Waltham. He has been recalled multiple times this season due to injury reasons, including a concussion in late December. NBA rules require teams to officially recall players from the D-League before they can be examined by a team's training staff.
Melo has appeared in 19 games for the Red Claws this season while averaging 11.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and a D-League-best 3.8 blocks over 27.7 minutes per game.
