Who knows if he'll still be on the team come opening night, certainly not a sure thing with Trader Danny having a "lean and hungry look", but he says the right things.  It'd be great if he was a more proficient offensive player, but his D is quite good and he is a good chemistry and locker room guy.  We could do worse, and we need a bigger SG who plays defense.  Neither Brooks nor Crawford fit that description, especially Brooks...

The release of Shav tells me that the trade market for what we have is not that good.  If Danny had a trade in his pocket that he was waiting to pull the trigger on, say, after 9/12 when he can start trading the players he picked up from Brooklyn (or players like Crawford) I think he would have picked up Shav's option with the confidence that he was going to get down to 15 by opening night.  Not looking good for that, but if there's one thing I have complete confidence in it is that Danny is on the phones and will pull the trigger if something comes along.  God knows he's not shy when it comes to that.

Bob,

There's one thing besides Courtney's defense. When he makes up his mind to do so, he goes to the hoop very well (and creatively) and usually finishes strong.

Pending further moves, I hope Courtney gets the chance to start. I believe we've seen Bradley's upside, and the upsides of the other SG candidates don't excite me as much as Courtney's does IF he can recover his long-distance stroke. And, IF that should happen, I'd welcome the opportunity to see Lee and Jeff Green play a little slasher/bomber ping pong out there. That should do wonders for (1) spacing the floor and (2) executing the motion offense that Brad Stevens seems to favor (as do I).

To Cow and all the other Bradley fans out there, I'm not forgetting Avery. I'd like to see him come off the bench as a SG with Pressey (IF he proves he can play in the league) at PG. The modern day version of the Jones Boys. The shock troops. The momentum-changers/builders. The defensive demoralizers. The frustration-goaders. The energy-sappers.

CLee is a solid offensive player. I think had RR not been injured, we'd have seen an improvement by the end of the season.

If he isn't traded, I do think he'll perform better this season.
