Why is Rajon Rondo at a Waffle House in Franklin, IN?

This pictures was taken outside of a Waffle House in Franklin, IN and tweeted to the universe.
Franklin, Indiana is 20 miles south of Indianapolis, home of Butler University.
I don't know exactly where Brad Stevens lived, but it wouldn't be unreasonable that he was raising his kids in a suburb.
Rondo meeting with his future head coach is not earthshaking news, but I do like the fact that it's happening. Rondo organized off-season workouts for the team last year in Malibu and in Waltham. I'm liking that he's pro-actively seeking out his coach to talk (this is an assumption on my part. I cannot think of any other reason to be in Franklin, IN other than because you know someone there. Period.) regardless if he's physically ready to play (I'm presuming he is not now and may, in fact, miss the first month).

Several things strike me as odd about the photo.
• What is on Rondo's necklace? At first I thought it was a whistle, but I don't think it is. Inquiring minds want to know.
• Is the kid in socks without shoes?
• Somebody actually chose that as the background?
• What's with the guy behind the kid? If you want to be in the photo, step up and get in the photo. If you want the photo to be Rondo and the kid, then step out of the photo.
Like I heard somebody say, it's slow around here.

P.S. I think the board should run a contest for the most ridiculous, demented post of the off-season. It seems as though we have all gone off the deep end (whatever that means), and what we need is a good four for two blockbuster Celtics deal to bring us to our senses.
