I can understand why the Lakers want to get rid of Bynum for monetary reasons and are anxious to do so before they could lose him for nothing in return. But it's not like them to make a trade that doesn't upgrade their talent. If they pull off this deal, depending on what other Cleveland player(s) might be involved, it would be the first time I've ever felt genuinely sorry for Kobe.
