A good chance Jabari Parker stays in school

A couple weeks ago Jabari Parker said he's no lock to leave school for the NBA this year and added that it depended on how Duke's road to the Final Four went this year.

Well, today it crashed and burned with a shocking loss to the 14th seeded Mercer Bears 78-71 in their first game. That's gotta leave a horrible taste in his mouth and a possible desire to stay at Duke for another year and have a better end to his collegiate career. Parker personally was a flop too, going 4 for 14, missing all three of his three-pointers, with 4 turnovers and 4 fouls. That's gotta sting.

Will be interesting to see what he decides now.

By the way, someone in my pool was a perfect 16 out of 16 yesterday. So far, he's 0-2 today.

Thing is some of these "small" schools have SENIORS that have played 4 years Mercer is the case in point. All five starter for Mercer were seniors. Not many Schools on the top tier of programs have many kids that stick around for 4 years certainly not a starting 5 of seniors.
