Stevens is the first coach on the list of a non-playoff team and you won't find the next until Minnesota's Rick Adelman at No. 17. Stevens scored higher than some playoff-bound coaches like Toronto's Dwane Casey (12) and Houston's Kevin McHale (13). Stevens ability to land high on the list reflects not only what he accomplished at the college level, but what he's been able to do in a loss-filled season. Boston has only won 23 games, but has been competitive in most of its games this season.

Very interesting.

I do think Brad is a good coach, and he'll only get better. He's done fairly well with what he's had to work with. To be honest, I doubt there's a whole lot of coaches in this league better than him.

I'm glad the Celtics have him.  I'd be willing to bet that we can't feel or even imagine 25% of all of the challenges he's met, agonizing decisions he's faced, and frustration he's endured.

The best coaches, in my opinion, are GregPop (SAS), Thibs (CHI), and Brooks (OKC).

The playoff teams are loaded with good players. And I have to ask, how would they do with Steven's roster? I doubt they'd do much better. Look at Spoelstra. Without Lebron, they are essentially a .500 team. Even with the talent that they have and the fact that they have championship experience.

Just a few points of reference.
