The Warriors had doubled up the Celtics, 62-31 by halftime. Meschery could be a real force on both offense and defense. He was tough.

The Warriors were 20-39 in free throws, "led" by Chamberlain's 2-10 and Thurmond's 2-7. What a monster score they might have rolled up otherwise. I have to believe the reason Mel Counts led the Celts with 15 was because of extended garbage time.
