Carlos Boozer Told By Bulls He Could Be Amnestied Or Traded

The Chicago Bulls have informed Carlos Boozer that he may be amnestied or included in a sign-and-trade agreement this offseason, according to sources. The Bulls have yet to make a final decision.

If the Bulls are able to agree upon terms with Carmelo Anthony, they will need to clear Boozer from their salary cap.

Boozer was signed in 2010 by the Bulls after they were unable to secure a deal with a top-tier free agent and was used sparingly by the playoffs this season.

MY NOTE: I'm posting this as a 'general interest' thing, I don't think there's anything here for us although I absolutely love Boozer. He's a PF and we're already up to our eyeballs in those. If Melo wants to sign with the Bulls then they need to clear cap space and that would point to a big contract like Boozer. It's amazing though, where we are now, that a player of Boozer's talents could just be cut.
