Lance Stephenson Signs With Charlotte

3 years, $27.5M.

This is unfortunate since there was trouble between Lance and Hibbert and I was hoping, longshot, that Larry would keep Lance and move his underperforming big man (to us, of course!). Now that's much less likely.

So, now their roster looks like this:

Big Al
Cody Zeller
Kemba Walker
Kidd-Gilchrist
Gerald Henderson
Lance
Jeffrey Taylor
Gary Neal
Bismack BIYOMBO!!!

Well, at least with Big Al, Zeller, Vonleh and good old Bismack they've got some bigs. And Biyombo is fun to watch when he has the ball, both times each game.

Charlotte is making some nice moves, just like Washington. I expect them both to be better teams next year.

Toronto has been curiously quiet, though.

I think Stephenson 's antics, plus his contract demands were enough for Larry to say goodbye. It is sad that a kid like that, who learned so much from Bird did not stick around. I guess his differences with Hibbert were one of the main reasons

What's your opinion?

I am not a big fan of Rich Levine, but he hits it right on the head. I doubt Brad Stevens would want to deal with a player like Stephenson.

You're right, Rosalie. Danny's got enough to do in patching together a developing team without having to worry about a possible malcontent in the ranks.

Larry put a lot of time and energy into helping that kid, I guess he thought that Stephenson would repay him by sticking around. There is more to this story than money. More will come out, wait and see. His relationship with Hibbert?
