Wolves Interested In Trading For Thaddeus Young To Replace Love

The Minnesota Timberwolves are interested in trading for Thaddeus Young if they eventually move forward with dealing Kevin Love.

The Wolves have held talks with the Philadelphia 76ers on Young, either as part of an expanded Love trade or a separate transaction.

Young has two seasons remaining on his deal worth a combined $19.3 million, with the second season being a player option.

Young has been the subject of trade rumors since Sam Hinkie became general manager of the 76ers last year.

MY NOTE:  He makes slightly more than Jeff Green, which pretty much tells you what Minny thinks of Jeff Green.  What I want to know is what would Minny and/or Cleveland have, after the basic trade for Love, to encourage Philly to give up Young?  Then again, with Sam Hinkie, he might want to move Thaddeus Young because he thinks he's over-the-hill at 26.

I don't think the idea is to trade Love for Young plus parts but instead a multi-team deal where Love would go to Cleveland, Young would end up in Minnesota, and other players get scattered around.

Hey Outside.  Not to deviate from this fascinating topic, but do you live in the San Francisco/Oakland area?  If so, any interest in getting together with Bob Heckler, myself, and possibly a couple of other members in late October?

I live in Southern California now but grew up in the Bay Area and return several times a year to visit my parents in the East Bay. It would depend on the timing, but I might be able to meet up in October. I've had other commitments during previous times when you've met in the Bay Area, but it would be great if I could actually see you guys.
