KOBE MAY MISS TOMORROW'S GAME
The sports ticker on the NBA channel flashed that Kobe may not play tomorrow against the C's due to an ailing knee/leg.

He HAS BEEN playing. A ton of minutes. In close games he gets rode hard and put up wet.
Phil has been doin better in games that aint close but Mr Bryant has high miles. He is the best conditioned athlete in the nba but he aint steel.
However I would love to have him healthy. Lets see where we are.

Re: KOBE MAY MISS TOMORROW'S GAME
I think we need tests more than wins. And there are more upsides than downsides for the Celtics if Kobe plays.
Suppose Kobe plays and the Celtics lose. It will be the equivalent of the Lakers saying, "We can beat this team with one hand tied behind our backs."
Suppose Kobe plays and the Celtics win. Do I really have to continue with the implications of this scenario?
Now suppose Kobe doesn't play and the Celtics win. It will be like kissing your sister. Big deal! The PLAYERS (perhaps as opposed to the fans) are most concerned about their progress. As Artest said, he was really happy that, although they lost to the Raptors, they played hard. It was how they played that counted most. And any apparent progress the Celtics make in any area could easily be diminished in their minds by the qualifier that Kobe didn't play.
Suppose Kobe plays and the Celtics lose. I suspect that won't come as a big shock to most people, who probably expect the Celtics to lose. And I'll definitely be in the "glimmer game," looking for bright spots to take from the loss. Because, harking back to Artest's comment, a lot of good can be taken from a loss—and even more so from a loss to a quality opponent.
If Kobe can somehow bring himself to dominate the Lakers' execution early, I'd love it! That has usually been one of the best chances for a Celtics win against the Lakers. It's fun to see the Lakers stand around watching him and then be unable to capture any rhythm when the entire team is needed down the stretch.

Could have been a head fake by him. Breen and the rest of ABC announces talked about the supposed injury during the telecast.
