Kevin Garnett Bloopers
It's amazing how much I miss him, especially after listening to Mr. Bland, Brad Stevens, on a regular basis now. Stevens never gives us anything except the company line.

KG on the court could be a real jerk, but off the court, he's a load of fun. It's a pleasure to see these guys show their personalities.

outside,
One person's jerk is another person's next best thing to Bill Russell.

Bob,
Before I clicked "Send" on that previous post, I was guessing that the "jerk" portion of that comment would get some hackles up, and I was already thinking about what I'd say. The funny thing is, what I planned to say in response is that KG is, in my opinion, the closest thing I've seen to Bill Russell since Bill Russell. So everything went according to plan, except that you stole my line.
My admiration for KG runs deep. He is the greatest defensive post presence in the modern game. He is a combination of physical gifts, talent, hard-earned skill, intensity, passion, control, leadership, and the ability to perform under pressure that is exceedingly rare in the entire world of sports. He's one of the greats.
Despite that admiration, I also recognize that he could be a jerk from time to time on the court. Considering his almost maniacal intensity, it's a wonder it didn't happen more often. The point I was trying to make in my first post was the juxtaposition of his on-court character, that fierceness sprinkled with jerkiness, with the playful goof he could be off the court.
