Hey Berlin!!  Long time no speak.  Where in Spain were you?

I think you deserve more credit than most people on this board because of the time of night/morning you have to be awake to watch the games.  Same with swede, when he was still in Estonia.

I'll look forward to reading your opinions on the post game threads while I'm gone.

Hi Bob, nice to hear from you also, but I'm sorry I have to disillusion you about my viewing times. About two months into last season Father Time finally caught up to me and I bought an NBA League Pass which allows me to watch the game on the web the next day at a time which is better suited for my health. I always keep the scores turned off so when I log in I have no idea how the game is going to turn out. It's just like watching it live only sometimes even better when all the commercials are edited out.

But thanks for the Kudos anyway. I did watch the games live for many years.

I and my lady were in a town called Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol in Andalusia about halfway between Malaga and Marbella where our Spanish friends (who live in Madrid) have a vacation apartment which they graciously allow us to use every October for three weeks.

As to the game here's what stood out to me:

1. I counted all the times Rondo walked the ball up the court and was stuck at 1. This is a miracle of major importance. If he keeps this up I will retract all my criticisms and personally ask all members of the board to accept my apology for running him down.
2. Although the pace was wonderful in getting the ball up the court there seemed to me to be too much dribbling and not enough passing after that. I hope with more practice and better chemistry this will be corrected.
3. Marcus Smart is one hell of a defensive bulldog.
4. With the pickups of Turner, Zeller and Horton, Danny did a lot better in the off season than he's been given credit for.
5. I feel we are still weak at the center position. Zeller should given more minutes there IMO. The real cruncher will come when we have to play teams with big, strong intimidating centers and power forwards starting with Houston this Saturday. Will we wilt under the pounding in the lane? Or will they wilt under the fresh-leg, uptempo onslaught of our deep reserves?

Anyway it was a great start to the season (better than King James's he, he!)

I get your point, Bob. I saw the game too. The question for me is - will this last?

The saddest part of this win is now we have only 25 more of these left to spread out over the next 81 games if the experts are to be believed...

I really loved the way we played, great pace, movement. movement without the ball on offense, we really used our depth to our advantage. Smart, Thorton, Turner, Bass and Zellar is some bench, we wore out the Nets.

Great test tonight to see how we match up against an elite center, last year he killed us, hope we play with same pace and intensity,
