maybe that DeAndre Kane rumor makes sense now.

I see no real reason to buy out all three guys as a couple of them may be able to bring something back in a trade before the deadline in February.  We all realize that none of these three guys will be part of next year's team, but at least wait until some younger guys show up as available after getting dropped from other teams if trades cannot be made for them. Not much use to add a couple of D leaguers at this point.

Thornton was quite effective tonight and may be getting his legs back under him after being out for almost three weeks. Prince has not even yet arrived in Boston even take as shot in either practice or a game yet.

I doubt Ainge can get much of anything for Thornton and his $8M plus salary or Prince and his $7.7M salary.

Nelsons' lowball $2.6M deal might bring us back a future second rounder , but not with his player option for next year.

Prince and Nelson are not needed on this roster now, we are trying to play the young guns and get the rotation down to 10 or less players.

Thornton takes minutes from Young.

unless Thornton is willing to sit on the bench and be a cheer leader (like Wallace has this year), then we need to move on.

The strange thing is that BASS may be the keeper (at least the rest of this year). He's bought into Stevens coaching, plays hard always and is part of the regular rotation. WHO would have thought at the beginning of the year that Bass might be the guy still here after the trade deadline?
