Lousy record, high value
Forbes released it's annual list of NBA franchise values.
We may not have the best record or strongest lineup, but the franchise value is still up there near the best. The huge price tag on The Clippers sale sure didn't hurt their value, and leads to an appealing little year-over-year result. Although Ballmer is still going to be underwater on the total cost versus return for a while, I doubt he cares. If you were an existing NBA franchise owner at the time of that sale, you had to love it, and what it did for your own estimated net worth.

I didn't realize Chicago was so high (3rd) on the list. The other teams all make sense, though.
