Noticed today would have been Jeb,s 50th birthday.

Boy do I miss him. We had such wonderful conversations on line. He kept it light and fun.

You guys had many more times to meet and talk with Jeb, but the last conversation I had with him on line before he really got so sick and we lost him was one that is forever embedded in my heart. We talked and joked, and at the end of the conversation, he said "Rosalie, I am going to miss you so much". He broke my heart. And we never met in person. I talk about him to this day and Bill knows exactly how I feel because we have lost so many people in our lives at a young age.

I am sure you all feel the same way. Life is cruel sometimes.

Just got home this evening and found out a very good friend, 53 years old, died today.... was shoveling snow a bit went in and laid down and apparently had a heart attack.

Sometimes you just don't know.

Some have said life is cruel... maybe it seems that way but I disagree. I got to know jeb just a little bit, far less than most others here, but jeb added value to each of our lives. I'm thankful for that. And while I haven't met jeb yet I intend to sooner or later even if it means breaking out of hell to do so.

Jeb we loved ya. Still do.

John "Jeb" Johnson...

No longer here with us in the physical sense, but his spirit continues to light this place up, and warms our hearts.

Losing Jeb too early was cruel, but sharing time on here with him was one of life's pleasures. Beat, thanks again for starting this thread to remind me what a joy it was. Man, he was fun.

Jeb was amazingly unique.
As the sole Lakers fan on a Celtics forum, I really enjoy unique people who view things different from me but who speak from the heart. Jeb absolutely did that.
I wish we still had him here.  :-(

Hey guys didnt jeb direct a documentary or something like that? If so I was thinking it be fun to find it somewhere and watch..

I think Jeb was involved in constructing movie sets or something like that. I don't believe he was a director. Maybe Bob Heckler has more details.
