any word on Thomas and his back?

Looks like Wade tried to do it again , this time on IT last night, not as bad as Whiteside and his thuggish play on Kelly I guess.

I suppose Miami's motto is "if you can't beat them, beat them up".

we do need someone on this team to become an enforcer now it seems. I volunteer Bass.

next time someone throws IT to the ground, Bass needs to knock the other guy OUT.

time to let the rest the league know we protect our own now.


I haven't seen anything about how IT is doing, so looking for info. I hope he's just sore and stiff and thats all.

I doubt Wades' day will ever come, frankly the NBA protects their "stars" , always has.

and Whitesides behinf the back shove was worst, IMO. at least Wade can say (with a somewhat staright face) that he was going after the (a-hem) ball. of course we all know that he was going after IT.

I am afraid if we keep winn ing, it will get worst for thomas, as teams try to bneat him up when he drives inside. I still say we need an enforcer to make teams think twice.

Having injured my tailbone in a fall during my playing days, I can imagine Thomas will be hurting for a while. I hope he can play tomorrow.

I'm no fan of Wade and think he's one of the dirtiest players in the league, but I think he made a basketball play and was just going for the block. However, I think he was a total dirtbag in the way he stood over Thomas after the play, reveling in the fact that Thomas got hurt running into big tough guy Wade.

Very similar to the look he had after Rondo's elbow injury, except that I believe he injured Rondo intentionally.

Bass certainly qualifies physically, but I think he may not have the mentality to be an enforcer.  Isn't it interesting, though how no one seems to rough him up?

Wade's a pure punk.  There are basketball plays and basketball plays.  I believe Wade's approach was designed to hit Thomas when he was off-balance so that Isaiah would take a bad fall but Wade couldn't be faulted if Isaiah "hurt himself."  It has happened far too often with Wade to be a coincidence.

Rosters used to have one such enforcer type guy just like the NHL teams had.

Now it appears that these guys are not as necessary, but I would not mind having one.  Thomas is going to continue to be a target due to his size and his importance to the team.  Might be a place on the roster for the draft pick of a couple years ago who is now playing in Spain.  Can't think of his name off the top of my head. A good solid, retaliatory foul has worked to serve as notice for many years. As an old Cs fan, Jim Loscotoff comes to mind.

You will never convince me that was just a basketball play. Wade hated the fact that the Celtics were beating him, this is his way of showing his displeasure. If it were not for the the fact that the referee's protect Him and his cronies, he would have joined his teammate in the locker room.

Dwayne Wade has caused more injuries to guys playing against him than anyone I have ever watched. Sam is right, he is a puke (uck, I hate that saying)!!!!!!!

thanks to the Refs for not calling a flagrant foul on a "player in a vulnerable position" on Wade or the NBA for allowing him to continue his history of dirty play, year after year with no recourse.

The ligaments, tendons, and muscles around the coccyx can get very tender upon impact. Acupuncture with e-stim helps, but it's tricky. Good luck Isaiah.

I am with you, Wade is the worst player in the league for taking guys out. I would love a list of how many players he has hurt over the years. I keep wishing someone would just get him once so it affected his remaining time in the NBA. He is one of the most protected players around, never getting called for the dirty plays he makes. Sickening

I'd nominate someone like Robert Parish.  If he had repeated his old one-two on Lame Beer in today's ultra-protective league, he'd still be serving a suspension.
