Phil Pressey, Cliff Alexander sign with Blazers

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Trail Blazers have signed guard Phil Pressey and forward Cliff Alexander.

Pressey played the past two seasons with the Boston Celtics, averaging 3.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 125 games. The 24-year-old was undrafted after playing at Missouri.

Alexander also went undrafted after averaging 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in one season at Kansas. His 56.6 percent field goal percentage led the Jayhawks and ranked fourth in the Big 12.

Alexander was a 2014 Naismith Boys High School Player of the Year as well as a McDonald's All-American.

Yes, the very best of luck to Pressey. He was a true pro (hard work, great effort and no complaining) in his two years in Boston.

He just has some limitations that until fixed may always hinder his playing time in the NBA on any team. He can't do anything about his height, but if he can perfect his jump shot he will get more minutes.
