Cavaliers Sign Dionte Christmas

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard Dionte Christmas to a contract.

Christmas (6-5, 205) last played for the French professional basketball club, Paris-Levallois of LNB Pro A. He appeared in 42 games (two starts) with the team, averaging 8.9 points on .451 shooting from the field, including a .380 mark from the three-point line, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 19.4 minutes per game.

MY NOTE: If you remember, Dionte Christmas played for our Orlando summer league team a few years ago, left the last day of Orlando because he made a commitment to play for Phoenix in Vegas (we weren't fielding a team for Vegas that year) and Phoenix signed him after summer league.

I like this kid. Good luck to him. After bouncing between Europe and the NBA he actually might have a good shot at winning a ring this year.

Yes, good luck to this young man. He did seem to play hard when he was with Boston a couple of summers ago.
He may need some luck, however, as his time to earn a spot somewhere is probably pretty fleeting.
