BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics are back home, hoping to continue building on what has been the best start to the season under third-year head coach Brad Stevens.

Pointing out the team’s scoring, rebounding and assists leaders gives you a sense of who is doing their part in the team’s success.

But delving into the analytics gives a truer sense of why Boston (12-9) remains one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.

That said, players such as Jordan Mickey and Tyler Zeller are excluded from these rankings because, while their contributions are important, we limit the rankings to players who log at least 10 minutes per game which seems a fair enough sample size to include starters as well as key reserves.

Here’s a look at some of the team’s leaders this season in a few key analytics categories that collectively contribute to this team’s success thus far this season.
