Chances of Landing a very good center with a lower draft pick.
Below link list some very good centers, all under 28, and where they were selected in the draft over the last few years. All were part of starting rotations this past season and put up some very decent numbers. They averaged out to a #17 pick in the draft. With all the late picks that the Celtics have ,it might be a good year to play a volume game in hopes of landing a future competent center Here are the numbers that they were picked at.
1 - 35
2 - 10
3 - 9
4 - 27
5 - 16
6 - 3
7 - 33
8 - 21
9 - 15
10 - 5
11 - 12
All are 6'11' or taller and weigh in at a average of 261 lbs. A lot of beef on the hoof.
