According to this piecethe Celtics could pay for Smith by renouncing Tyler Zeller. I think it is too late for that, he has signed already.

I couldn't find this rumor on a credible website (e.g. ESPN, CBS, etc).

Please, no to this Smith idea even if he plays for the vet minimum.  He is not what we need no matter what his shooting percentage is/was/could be.

As much as I think that James Young is going to be absolutely no help again this season, I would rather have Young on our roster than Smith.

come on people...there is no great 3 point shooter and new big man walking thru that door from now till the season starts.

by the trade deadline.........perhaps.

no one is out there that is worth a damn or doesn;t have MAJOR flaws now.

the off-season is basically done and this is our team. It's not bad and certainly better balanced than last year. we should be one of the top 3-4 teams in the East, though I think Chicago, Toronto and of course Cleveland will all be in the mix aso.


Atlanta, Indiana and Milwaukee look like playoff teams in the East to me right now also.

I think the Knicks are paper tigers only and they ahve ZERO depth. Might be Jacksons' last year there if I am right.

Great point regarding that this is our roster, and that everyone who may still be available has many flaws. This is exactly why Smith should never be added to our roster at this point.
