A question.
Does anyone know if KO is still eligible to be part of a sign and trade? I wouldn't think so, but with all this Gasol talk, I was thinking this could be one way to get it done. Plus, I read WAS was trying it with Porter, and Utah was trying it with Hayward.........
I don't know.
I don't know.

Re: A question.
I think they can't technically renounce his rights until the moratorium is over so I would think he's technically still a restricted free agent with full bird rights and available to be sent in a sign and trade.

Thank you. I hope that's what they are doing.

Re: A question.
He could still be included, but regardless the C's would have to be cutting 2 million + from existing contracts on the books. So, there is no real scenario where using Kelly helps shed the $ needed to sign Hayward.
Unless you know of a team with a non-guaranteed contract still on their books in excess of 15 million who could return to the C's and be immediately cut with no salary cap implications, or a team 20 mil+ under the cap who wants to straight up sign Kelly but for some reason decides it is better to combine that move into a sign and trade with other players going to/from Boston to help save the Celtics 2-3 million?
Those very rare and pretty unheard of type transactions are the only ways a Kelly sign and trade is possible/useful. But you never know with Danny!
