A Question?
On several threads I see references to various trade rumors including picks being described as a "high" pick or a "low" pick.
OK is a low pick a low number or is a high pick a low number? Or is a low pick a high number and a high pick a high number?

Re: A Question?
Good question, Beat. I tend to think of a high pick as closer to #1. But others may think it means closer to #62. I guess it would behoove people to word things so people will know which is meant. That's what I'll do from now on. Thanks for raising the issue.

Re: A Question?
beat,
Maybe others will disagree with me, but a "high pick" is like one we got on lottery day. Our #17 pick would be a "middle pick" and we took JR Giddens at 30th with a low pick.
At least that's how I've been using those terms.

I agree with Bob
or you could use the terms early round pick, late round pick.

Re: A Question?
Hi,
Thanks. Now I get it, too. High is low and low is high.

Now you got it!
Didn't mean to start a mess but really, it can be a bit misleading.
