Marcus Morris back in original starting rotation plan per Brad Stevens

Brad Stevens reiterated Wednesday that he is moving back to the original plan to alternate starting Marcus Morris and Aron Baynes based on matchups.
After Gordon Hayward went down for the year on opening night, Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens had to improvise his starting lineup. Boston was going to start games small with three wings, but now they had to recalibrate when their best wing was gone.
Stevens opted for a mini-rotation, with Aron Baynes starting when Celtics faced teams with two bigs and Marcus Morris starting against small lineups. But Morris was plagued by knee soreness that kept knocking him out for weeks at a time.
Now that Morris is back to health, Stevens can finally return to being more strategic with the starters.
Morris actually started his last two games against Cleveland and Brooklyn last week. Morris’ start against Cleveland made sense for the LeBron James matchup. Baynes started as well in Brooklyn once Al Horford was declared out, so all of this is not completely brand new.
The Celtics face the Sixers in London Thursday, a team who starts a small lineup with Dario Saric at the four. This matchup seems like an ideal start for Morris, who may log his 12th start in his 22nd game of the season.

MY NOTE: We'll see how long this lasts. Baynes has one of the best defensive ratings in the league and the bench still needs scorers. Nothing on that front has changed.

[ltr]Brad Stevens says with Marcus Morris, whether he starts or comes off the bench is back to being a game to game determination. Notes that even though Morrisnis off a minutes restriction, they are still paying attention closely to his minutes.[/ltr]

Morris off the bench is the spark this team needs.

My only concern with Morris is injuries.
I hope he's now able to stay on the floor.
