On the second night of a B2B road game the Celtics play the Sacramento Kings.
There is a common element associated with this 4 game trip.
There exists a high intensity incentive to win. GS, LAL and LAC all beat Boston at home and we own Sacramento's 1st round pick in the upcoming 2019 draft (top 1 protected) There is a big reason to beat them as well.
I really like what the Kings are doing .
Unless you are living under a rock, this cannot be thought of as a trap game.
Know this, the Kings are an excellent offensive team. This team has a lot of young talent and have drafted very well.
This team has the ability to blow Boston right off the court. They are a very porous defensive team and will lull you into a, we can score you can score, type of game.
The Celtics need to first wipe those smiles off their faces because the big win last night means nothing with respect to tonight's game.
The Celtics need to establish a physical defensive presence. They need to take quality shots because the Kings are #1 in fast break points. That kid Fox is a freakin blur going end to end. They are also an excellent 3 point shooting team and are ranked one spot above the Celtics at #5.
The one offensive weakness for the Kings is from the line where they shoot 72%. The Celtics should not allow layups. We need to beat them up when they go to the rim. Fox, Willie Cauley-Stein and rookie Marvin Bagley are poor free throw shooters.
The Celtics need to go into this game with a level of respect for the Kings.
Again first and foremost they must be engaged defensively. On offense the ball and man must move. The Celtics need to be disciplined in their approach. The Celtics must not rely on what they did last night. This is not your grandmother's Kings.

Could see some tired legs out there.
Brad should check the energy and use the rotation if guys are dragging.
AH only logged 22 minutes last night. That should give him some pop tonight.
Hope GH comes out like jack...be nibble, jack be quick.

Blakely already has them losing this game. All of a sudden, Sacramento is a team to be afraid of. They run a lot up and down the court, so our “old” men may have a hard time keeping up.
Where does this come from, we have a group of young players, last night should not be a killer on them. Kyrie played 30 or so minutes, the rest were below thirty. Time to show they can play back to back and come out on top. I know Sacto has some good young talent, but our guys should be able to pull this off
