Game 6 - Keys to Victory Empty Game 6 - Keys to Victory

Before game 5 we recognized a favorable trend for the Celtics. Their defrense has slowly but surely impacted this series and has made it difficult for LA to score a lot of poiints. We have a 5 game trend now as LA has scored 102, 94, 91, 89 and 86 points through 5 games.

So the frist and most important key to the game is for the Celtics to play solid defense. This requires a lot of energy. I would expect LA to come out slugging so Boston must absorbed their initial thrust and assert their will on them.

Game 5 was close because Boston had too many turnovers and gave up 16 offensive rebounds. That cannot happen tonight if Boston wants to close it out in 6.

The Celtics need to push the ball on offense. Rondo must set a brisk pace and KG and Perk and all of the Celtics big must get down the court quicker. This will really hurt the Lakers becasue I do not believe that Bynum can run on the bad leg.

As always good ball movement, screens and searching out the best shot on offense will keep LA on their toes and put even more pressure on them.

The Celtics need to pay attention to the secondary players on the lakers to keep them in check and thus force both Kobe and Pau nto put up big numbers all game long.

Friends this is a game where we could very well see a complete and total collapse on the part of the lakers. The Celtics have them on the edge now they just ned to push them off the cliff.

It sure would be nice if Ray and Paul and KG got off tonight. It could be a real orgy.

This team has given us fans more than we could ever hope for.

Go Celtics! Bring home # 18 tonight.
