Contract Question
gyso (or any others)
If a player signs, for example, a 6 year deal today and the league has a work stoppage for, say, 1 year, does the contract shift one year out to accomodate the work stopage (or an injury for that matter) or is 6 years simply that, 6 years no matter what? Or is language put in there for this?

Re: Contract Question
dbrown,
I have never seen a NBA contract, but I would think there is a start date and an end date.
A work stoppage or lockout would not affect the contract end date.
I did not find anything in the sal cap FAQ's, so I am guessing.

gyso is correct.
Length of contracts are years, not seasons.
