HEY WHY NOT TRADE FOR LA MARCUS ALDRIDGE?
Aldridge would be a perfect fit for Boston either starting or coming off the bench. He combines height with solid scoring and rebounding. He is on his last year with SA and will be a free agent. This is a good fit for him and the Celtics who desperately need a solid center with legit height. He could finish out his career with Boston and give them 2-3 more years with a Celtic team that is young with 2 super star wings in Brown and Tatem.
On the season, Aldridge is averaging 15.6 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and 2.2 assists per game this season and could be a huge pickup for a contending team. Aldridge, 35, will be a free agent following the season so he likely is running out of time to play at a high-level with a championship-caliber team ahead of him.
The 14-year veteran stands at 6-foot-11 and has had a very successful career up to this point. Aldridge is a seven-time NBA All-Star and a two-time All-NBA Second-Team selection, but he has yet to win an NBA Championship. Seeing him have a chance to compete for a title at this stage of his career would be ideal.

112288,
First of all, it's nice to see you posting again.
Secondly, who/what would you give up for Aldridge? He's 35 years old, makes $24M/year, will be an UNrestricted free agent next year. His fg% and ppg are near career lows. His rebounding IS at career low. His ftas are career low.

Aldridge comes off his big contract next year. He will not command the same money that he is getting this year. If you give him a 3 year deal he would be perfect coming off the bench and some starting.
Add a few more role players and the Celtics could be legit finals team.
If anyone has a better idea for center, let's hear it without trading Tatem or Brown. I'll answer my own question, NONE!
And without height, the Celtics go nowhere and we will all be ringing our hands at another wasted year while the clock ticks away on Brown and Tatem.

Let’s stick with TT, Theis and the up and coming RWill for now....all 3 give us better big man intangibles than LA now and the foreseeable future. His defense is already a liability and will only get worse as he is 35.

no thanks...too old, too pricey and too DONE.
I seriously doubt any playoff team would pick him after a buy out and play him any minutes even.
but he WAS a nice player in another NBA timeline.
