I find it amazing as a Knicks fan, that we are actually returning the same team as last season. Usually 75% of the roster has turned over.

It is amazing what a crappy job Ainge did with all of that draft capital from the Nets trade. He did a great job getting Brown and Tatum and then screwed it all up. He needed a little more patience to get a top end big and failed miserably. Now, they are in Portland territory. They have a great player with an all-star caliber sidekick and no way to get good enough to contend  (MY NOTE:  Hmm.  We'll see.  Romeo looked good vs Knicks.  Nesmith and Pritchard didn't but they have shown us they can play in the NBA last year)

Dennis Schroeder shooting 3's at a .34% clip?  Man, that is minuscule, slightly better than one-third of one percent.

Jaylen coming off mild COVID, Celtics leaking to press that he has inhaler on standby, don’t fall for that sh**. Guard him 100%


They got Horford who always owns us but we ready.

Boston will be a good test for us. Tatum and Brown are going to be tough to contain, but we have the better bench. Horford will be out I think.

This is the type of matchup I'm interested in seeing, they have two big wings and a scoring guard, so how will our defense hold up since Kemba and Fournier won't have anywhere to hide.

Gonna be interesting to see if RJ can guard Tatum, and if RJ can at least make it difficult for JT on the other end.

so, how many knicks play over 40 min?

Tatum gonna be a problem. Hopefully Randle is up for matching him

Does anyone else feel like the Celtics should have been better by now?
Like, don't get me wrong, they're still really good and I'd probably rather have Tatum/Brown than Randle/RJ (okay, I would but I'm a homer), and making the ECF 3 times in 4 years is a level of success I'd kill for, but it feels like they wasted a lot of chances to put themselves over the top

Feels like they are always waiting and saving up for that homerun/superstar move but can never pull it off.

no that's the knicks. the celtics have pulled that off several times in my lifetime and they're just temporarily down the past couple years because kyrie is nuts and they couldn't convince AD to come there and kemba didn't work out

They've had some major bad luck with injuries to guys like Thomas and Hayward

Loyalty to certain players is Thibs's Achilles Heel.  (MY NOTE:  Absolutely true.  Loyalty to veterans over young talent even more so)

Boston may be one of the teams the Knicks can get away with small ball because they aren't too big in the front court

Randle should destroy that scrub Grant Williams. Celtics are small, even an out of shape Robinson should be ok against Robert Williams. That frontline is trash

Randle really isn't that good though. Fournier and him are not that far apart, unfortunately for us.

I'm fine with this as long as Enes Kanter isn't playing much because he will gobble up those rebounds and score on Randle and Obi. Let's be frank about that.
