CELTICS 101 DETROIT 90

It was a mixed bag of tricks tonight. At times the Celtics looked great and started to pull away from the Pistons and then in a blink of an eye they're tied. Tommy commented that the Celtics at times loose focus and get sloppy especially their passing. Tommy also noted that the Celtics are not shooting enough. Tough to see Shaq go down, he looked great while in the game. It sounds like it is the right calf muscle and not Achilles tendon. He's a gamer and we got to give him a Tommy point for his effort tonight.

Krstic could be back as early as Tuesday against Philly. Now that's good news.

Kee-rist!! I can't even take a game off without something happening!

Good thing it's just a strained calf.

I look forward to reading other posters' comments about the game.

Bob

my thoughts

Key time of game was early in the 4th. We are up 84-66 when the pistons go for 7 straight, Doc takes a time out. Pistons score out of the time out and it's down to 9.

C's are in a 3 minute drought.

THEN
Davis scores on a little bunny hook in the lane
Green gets a layup of a West feed.
Ray gets an uncontested layup.

6 straight points with in 1 minute of clock time.

Also in the third Delote makinga 2 handed set pass to JO.......that was a little too high........and went in the hoop for a three!

C's got only 64 field goal attempts off to 80 for the pistons.

Passed up many good looks but we did get 48 points in the paint.

On to tuesday I guess

And my family will be in the GARDEN on Friday to see the WIZ
Can't wait to see um live!

Its a shame a player so versatile and talented as Jeff Green just gets 4 points and the usual limited minutes, Doc has to figure out a way to get more out of him.

Cow

We both know the answer. MORE MINUTES! bottom line.
He can go with both units....in multiple ways too.

It drives me crazy to watch games when Green is in there. They just don't look for him at all. I can't tell you how many times I have yelled at the television screaming that Green was wide open, all alone and they go and take some stupid shot, never even giving him a glance. This kid is too talented to be wasted like this. Doc has to address this soon or this kid will want to walk away and find a team who will use his talents more.

My only other comment about the Celtics is, Where the heck is Troy Murphy?
They made such a big thing about signing him, he sprains his ankle mildly, in Doc Rivers words, and he has not been seen again. Is he even on the bench???

Rosalie

Murph was NOT one of the 12 active players yesterday. ( along with Kristic and Bradley) Perhaps with Shaq out tuesday he will at least dress.

If only we can get all the big guys healthy at the same time.

Also would like to see Green get more involved in the offense.

thats me to a T too Rosalie when Green is in the game, theres nothing this kid can't do, he can create his own shot, as a 3 he's got all the stuff......this kid should be playing 30 plus minutes every game
