Something I'm tired of seeing

In the first two games I've seen a bunch of times, especially last night, where guys draw fouls by just chucking themselves at the rim and into a defender. It appear that there is nothing the D can do to avoid the foul on this one. Last night in one early-ish play, PP got in front of Felton, who was clearly preparing to drive to the basket, and quickly moved away backwards with his hands raised. Felton throws himself, rag doll-style, into Pierce's mid-section. Foul, Pierce. I think Pierce picked up a T on that one for spiking the ball off the floor, very understandably.

This is all Lebron's fault. If you can take 5 steps, crash into people, and get to the line every time, why wouldn't you do it?

I'm also tired of seeing ridiculous travels go uncalled. Rondo at one point got the ball thrown ahead to him when no one was between him and hoop. He collected it, took 4 steps, and laid it in. No one batted an eye.

I think Magic Johnson started the drive into the crowd foul a long time ago

Yep, something the NBA should address. It cheapens the game. However, since it is called PP has refined it to an art and is the best at it in the game. But I would like to see a change.

Did you ever see the movie Fletch? One of the funniest scenes relates directly to this, Chevy Chase grabbing the Lawyer – forcing him to bump into him and saying “and he draws the foul” That move came out in 1985
