The Celtics may appreciate Delonte West’s overall toughness, but the team has reportedly decided to move on from their former backup point guard. According to a league source, the Cs’ impending trade for the Bucks’ Keyon Dooling means that they have lost interest in West.

According to another source, the Celtics had offered West a veterans minimum contract, and moved on to Dooling when he did not immediately respond. West was reportedly attempting to gauge interest from other teams with the hope of securing something better than a minimum deal.

“(West) isn’t too happy right now,” said the source.

The Celtics won’t have to give up much for Dooling and a second round draft pick - merely the rights to Albert Miralles, whose rights they acquired from Miami in the 2005 Antoine Walker trade. Miralles currently plays in Italy … The Celtics are also pursuing Chris Wilcox, a journeyman big man who played with Detroit last season, and have invited power forward Michael Sweetney back for his second straight training camp. Other invitees include NBDL big men Greg Stiemsma, who has also played in Turkey, and Jamal Sampson, a journeyman who played briefly with the Kings, Lakers and Nuggets, and msot recently the Texas Legends of the NBDL.

Negotiations have been completed to sign Marquis Daniels, Michael Sweetney has been invited back for hsi second straight camp, and the Celtics will also introduce Jamal Sampson, a player who starred in the NBDL last year.
