21 & 22 in this draft in round 1 and then in round 2 we got the 51st pick.

between now and 2014 we have something like 6 seconds as well as our own firsts..

are we going to use these picks or does D/A go Auerbach on us again and land us a star somehow with them?

If we're going to attempt to contend i think a trade would be in the works.. if we're going to try to devolope a new team over time, the picks stay.

well we need help everywhere once the roster clears for the summer.

but Steimsma wants to come back..
Wilcox wants to return to boston..
Bass has said he'd like to retire a celtic, and has an option
KG in the past has said he'd like to retire a Celtic

With our cap space situation we could bring back just about everyone and add a 10 mill guy.. if we did that, might it not make more sense to trade the picks away for picks in 13 or 14?

I don't follow college sports, as a rule, but...

1. We need height and beef.
2. I don't see anybody other than Fab Melo falling to 21-22.

What do you guys know about Fab Melo? His name alone makes me want to puke.

Maybe Matty's on to something. Trade all these picks and re-sign Semih Erden as a free agent. We still need another good young 5, as KG heads towards the sunset, but between Steamer and Erden we've got depth.

On the quick...

Deep draft pool this year...quality well into the 2nd round

Realistic picks for us at 4/5...

Arnett Moultrie (supposedly gaining attention & moving up fast/could go several picks sooner)
Festus Ezeli (ready to play at this level...hard-nosed...tops my wish list if Moultrie is gone)
Andrew Nicholson
John Henson
Fab Melo (saw some of his games at Syracuse...good D not much O, big, a bit of a project)

Plenty of excellent picks at G as well.

We should walk away with a couple of young players capable of making the roster with ease and possibly contributing quickly.

How does the NBA work, is it that you are either on the 15 player roster or you dont belong to the franchise?

Seems difficult to develop players in the NBA if they have to be within the 15 players.

Ties broken for NBA Draft 2012 selection order
By Official release

NEW YORK -- Seven ties among teams that finished the 2011-12 NBA regular season with identical records were broken today through random drawings to help determine the order of selection for the 2012 NBA Draft, which will be held on Thursday, June 28, at The Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
The drawings were conducted earlier today in New York City by Carol Sawdye, NBA Chief Financial Officer, and Dan Rube, NBA Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. The tiebreak process was overseen by Martin Shannon, a partner in the accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
The results of the drawings:

· Cleveland (21-45) won a tiebreaker with New Orleans.
· Sacramento (22-44) won a tiebreaker with New Jersey.

* Please note that teams that finished the regular season with identical records will select in the second round in the reverse of the order in which they select in the first round, provided, that if more than two teams are tied, then, as among the tied teams, each tied team will select one position earlier than it selected in the first round, except that the tied team that selected earliest in the first round shall, among the tied teams, select latest in the second round. With respect to the ties between Cleveland and New Orleans (21 and 45); New Jersey and Sacramento (22 and 44); and Golden State and Toronto (23 and 43): since the order of selection in the first round for this set of teams may change based on the results of the Draft Lottery, the order of selection in the second round cannot be determined until after the Draft Lottery is conducted.
