Celtics Reach 3 Y ear Deal with Brandon Bass
Two potentially lottery picks at 21 and 22 - Check. KG - check. Jason Terry - Check. Bass - Check. Not a bad week of work for DA.

Source: Celts, Brandon Bass agree
By Chris Forsberg | ESPNBoston.com
The Boston Celtics reached an agreement with their only unsigned starter Thursday afternoon by inking Brandon Bass to a three-year deal, according to a league source.
Bass opted out of the final year of his previous contract in order to secure a longer-term deal, but expressed a strong desire to return to Boston throughout the latter part of the season.

Bass appeared in 59 games last year -- including 39 starts as he moved to the starting power forward role in the second half of the season -- and averaged career-highs of 12.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
The Celtics acquired Bass from the Orlando Magic last season in a sign-and-trade deal in exchange for Glen Davis. Boston was reluctant to offer Davis a long-term deal (he signed for four years, $25.7 million), but they are clearly more confident this time around with Bass.
Having already secured a three-year extension with Kevin Garnett, the Celtics have reassembled their starting five from last season, pairing Bass and Garnett alongside Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, and Paul Pierce.
The Celtics are still hoping to bring back top reserve Ray Allen, who gave up his starting role to Bradley late last season. Allen visited the Miami Heat Thursday and it appears to be a tug-of-war between the two teams to land his services (barring a late entrant into the rodeo).

Mrkleen,
Hopefully, you can soon add a check beside Jeff Green's name.

How about a nice little trade between two friends?
Jeff Green to the Lakers for Jordan Hill and Devin Ebanks?

TJ,
Jeff Green to the Lakers for Irving Flotsam and Melvin Jetsam?
Looks like the Lakes are getting a couple of nice veteran players in Nash and Hill. I assume your Irving/Melvin trade idea is just the residue of giddiness on your part.

Might have a better chance with Benny Hill and Bob Ebanks.

Now if we can get Green and Allen to sign on the dotted line we will be set.

I'm not thinking Danny will be finished until the center position is more stabilized. He has learned that center by committee is only as good as its weakest link. I doubt he'll get a starter, but I hope he'll work like crazy to ensure that the weakest link isn't all that weak (including being injury prone).
