Road Trip...

I'm curious, have the Celtics turned a corner? If so, how will they do on this road trip? Personally, I'd be happy with a 2-2 outcome right now. 1-3 will leave me more concerned, 0-4, well...we're right back to skidding down hill...3-1 pretty good....4-0, we have turned a corner....

Ray's son was taken to the hospital yesterday, there was some question as to whether he would make the team flight, but in the end he did. The report said it was not sure if Ray would play tomorrow. Why,then, did he come with the team? Sometimes these reporters get the stories so messed up. Missing
one practice would not stop him from playing!

Lets see... I badmouthed Rondo to beat the band and he responded by having a decent game, little sulking noted (Sam calls it being "stoic") and the C's won last night. Even hit 2 FT's lifting his FT% to a GAUDY 38%!

Call it reverse psychology but something worked... making me look stupid. I'll take it. I say if the shoe fits (a 10 and 1/2 C, thank you, Rajon) , I'll put it in my mouth.

Continuing this trend, I'm calling for a 1 and 3 road trip with us nipping the Blunder in OT.

Miami, the Spurs and the Bobcats kick our fannies bigtime. We kick the Blunder's fannies.

Rajon goes Ooo-fer at the FT line during the road trip. Doesn't even draw iron.

IMO, now that the Celtics have won vs. the best team of the four in question, I think we go 3-0 against the rest.

GC, you missed the fact that when you touched off your House Harkonnen Nukes, there are three members of the House Atreides that live outside the blast zone. You may have eliminated the Old Duke and one of his trusty heirs, but in the end, your BDC Sardaukar were no match for our SCF Fremen!!

GC, King gyso is attempting to banish you to Salusa Secundus. I've been there. The place is dominated by fanatic Lakers fans who truly believe there are lakes in Southern CA and that the city of Los Angeles has won 15 NBA championships. Worse than that, they truly believe that Phil Jackson is truly loyal to the Lakers and not the infamous Red Holzman who Phil has now introduced as a deity of the Zen Kingdom. During their worship days they are advising followers to believe that Red Auerbach and the Celtics' championships are "tainted" based on a referee conspiracy started by Richie Powers, Sid Borgia, Fred Schaus, and the Ghost of Ben Kerner that attempted to create a cult to discredit Red Auerbach's accomplishments. Ben Kerner was the ex-St. Louis Hawk owner who attempted to insult Red when he was complaining that the Hawks baskets did not meet NBA specs. Red decided to by-pass debate and decided to punch Kerner in the mouth!!! They even show a shot of the stands where there the have a close up of a little boy in the stands wearing a Las Vegas hat that shows his name as Tim D. However, it was rumored that this investment group had placed significant bets on the Celtics in SlipperySams' Shamrock Casino in Western Las Vegas (word has it Slipperly outbid the Celtics for Lucky's services). When Slipperly found out about the "improper bets", being the dedicated Celtics fan we know Slippery to be, Slippery ordered his Public Relations media agents, Beat, Pete, and NYCelt to; (1) capture the group when they enter the casino, (2) banned martini's from being served, and; (3) ordered his lead security person, Rosalie to meet with the group teach Celticism and to teach them what Celtics Pride really means.

Beware of the traditional prayer evening in Salusa where all residents stop what they are doing and are required to watch a "1984type" (Big Brother) modified film of the 1969 balloon game where Don Nelson's shot actually bounces high off the Celtics' rim where one defective purple and yellow balloon that included a picture of Jack Kent Cooke falls down from the ceiling, hits the ball, and the ball travels to the Lakers' basket and goes in. They claim the true result of the balloon game was the Lakers won the championship. The post film activity is to hold a "bora bora" type worshiping celebration where they drop thousands of purple and yellow/gold balloons with a picture of Phil Jackson on one side, Red Holzman on the other, and huge "X" on top. The good news is each ballon includes a CA lottery ticket inside with a scratch of picture of Arnold himself. Kobe has filed an appeal to the commish that Kobe's picture should be on the lottery tickets.

The Island is owned and operated by Kobe Incorporated where there are pictures of Kobe, Saddam Hussein style, throughout the island. The residents are required to spend 10 minutes a day chanting "Kobe for MVP and Kobe is better than Michael". You should take gyso's threat to ban you to Salusa very seriously. It's a place far worse than being in LA after an architected 2002 championship!!! Therefore, I offer to represent you in the "banning hearing" under a "pro bono" agreement. Although, my normal "pro bono" agreement requires a $500 per hour donation to which I reserve the right to use the donation for any purpose I choose. Word has it that the judge assigned to the hearing is Jeb Muab'Dib, gyso's fourth cousin by marriage. Jebster is known for short cutting the hearing time by splitting the pro bono donations. Proof has surfaced by pictures of Jebster's "antique car collection".

Seriously, at a time I'm "stuck" in an intense work assignment, you guys are hilarious, and offered some well needed laughter. I'm still trying to figure out the meaning of House Harkonnen Nukes and SCF Fremen. I can only guess that gyso, who exposed his last name as Muab'Dib, is actually Dikembe Mutombo in disguise. For the record, I have also been asked by BDC to investigate the rumor that Sam is actually SlipperlySamMcNuggets in disguisel!!!

I use a wee bit of reverse psychology, badmouth Rondo, the guy hits 4 FT's in a row, he is measureably less "stoic",has his FT% up to 43 big ones, the C's are hot, hot, hot... and I am riding higher than whale feces for the first time in... never!

Well I had buyers remorse when I predicted 1 and 3 and tried to switch to 0 and 4... but failed.... when I was actually using reverse psychology but didn't really want to show my hand because then it wouldn't be reverse psychology. Got it???

Rondo went 5 for 8 from the FT line for the trip and regressed tonight with 1 for 4 from the charity stripe. He seemed to forget his new FT stroke.

When he is only averaging about 2 FT's a game, that seems easy enough to do. He needs a lot more touches at the FT line for learning to take place. Current FT% is 39%.

He missed his only 2 midrange shots tonight.

On the bright side, he was terrific as a floor manager/facilitator tonight. He and KG were like butter.... together.
