Re: Interview with Vitor Faverani.
Hmm. I think they needed to hold off on this interview for another couple of weeks at least. Truthfully, Vitor didn't have much to say because only a few players have showed up to work with so far. The interviewer, to be honest, came across as really kiss-ass too.
He's having language problems. Not good.
He loves to dunk. Yeah, I know Vitor, I've seen your videos. Dwight Howard likes to dunk too. Good luck trying to stop him.
He is saying all the right things about being on the Celtics. Good.
He sees Brad Stevens like another player, "a mate" on the team. Not good.
His new nickname, from Spain, is "The Green Mammoth". Wasn't a woolly mammoth a big slow beast that became extinct? Let's just write this off to trouble with translation.
Ok, all jokes aside, we need a bonafide center. If Vitor can fill that role I will become his second fan (after international) but I think he's going to be shocked at how big, strong and fast the players he's going up against are vs who he was against in Europe. Dwight Howard, Bynum (if he can play), Hibbert, Horford, Chandler on the muscle side; Noah, Brooks, KG and Bosh on the finesse side. And good luck dunking on Miami, even if you get past Bosh, if you don't know where LBJ is. Good luck, Vitor!

International, thank you for posting this. He seems like a nice guy who is humble and willing to work hard. at this stage, one can ask for no more. I wish him all sorts of luck.

Totally agree with Sam. Looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table.
But right out the gate, you can see the difference in someone like him and Melo. Maturity, poise, hard work....all the things that will get him minutes here.
Good luck Vitor.
