HOW WOULD RED OF HANDLED RONDO?

I was thinking last night, how would Red have handled Rondo?

Would he have been a hard ass and say take this next contract or leave, or would he have performed some mastery sales pitch to keep Rondo here by focusing on the big picture to resign him?...........Would he pitch not only the money aspect of a contract that would not be a max but fair, and if he signed and stayed .................the claim of Rondo could become a legend as one of the greatest Celtics players ever?
