Sixers Favored To Win Game For First Time This Season

Right now Sam Hinkie is on the phone in a panic with the league office trying to reopen this season's trading window.

I don't know which is worse, that this is the first time for Philly or that there actually is a team that is considered worse than them.  Oh wait a second, it's Phil Jackson's Knicks.  Got it.  Nevermind.

If they win, that would make them the 17ers.

The Sixers are favored in an NBA game.

Yep, for the first time all season, the Sixers have the support of Las Vegas, sitting as 6.5 point favorites to beat the Knicks tonight, according to Pregame.com’s RJ Bell.

It helps matters that the Knicks have been the only team in the league more consistently terrible on a nightly basis than the Sixers. New York sits two games behind the Sixers in the standings (or two games ahead in the quest for the most ping-pong balls in the draft lottery, depending on your perspective).

Two sad Sack Eastern Conference franchises who (if you count both iterations of Philly) were leaders in helping to craft the fortunes of the NBA in its early years.  I like to think of them in their relative glory years rather than how unhappy they must be making their fans lately.
