Of course it's not an entirely accurate stat, but I think it can pick up on a lot of things that the eye test misses. And the greater the sample size, the more accurate it is likely to be.

Here's our on/off leaderboard from last season, according to one site:

KO: oncourt +7.7 offcourt -4.0 Net +11.7
Thomas: Net +11.6
Jerebko: Net +11.4
Crowder: Net +3.6
Smart: Net +2.6

Sully: Net -1.5
Rondo: Net -1.6

Bradley: Net -4.8
Turner: Net -5.4
Zeller: Net -6.1
Green: Net -6.8

Bass: Net -8.9

Four of our five best from an on-court/off-court perspective were bench players, which is an important factor, but it's interesting to look at those top 5 and think about them as a starting lineup.

Raptors were 2.6 points better when Amir was on the court vs off, while the Raps were 2.9 points worse with Valanciunas was on the court. Amir was third among rotation guys on his team in on/off, behind Lou Williams and Kyle Lowry.

Golden State was 11.8 points better per 100 possessions with David Lee on the court, though that was only good for fourth best on the team, behind Curry, Iguadala, and Klay Thompson. Bogut's on/off was net +6.3, while the team actually played slightly better without Draymond Green on the floor, -1.4.
