The Boston Celtics have no idea how they'll split up minutes in their frontcourt this season. It's probable Amir Johnson starts at center, but after that who knows? Will Jared Sullinger start at power forward?

Is Kelly Olynyk a shoe-in at the four or five whenever Isaiah Thomas is on the floor? How do Tyler Zeller, Jonas Jerebko, David Lee, Jordan Mickey and Perry Jones fit in? Head coach Brad Stevens has to figure all this out as soon as he can, and Olynyk knows it won't be easy.

Here's what the seven-foot Canadian recently told Celtics.com's Taylor C. Snow:

He returns to a Boston team that is much improved in the front court, with the addition of veterans David Lee and Amir Johnson. Because of that depth, Olynyk knows he will have to battle in order to earn his playing time. He says he expects the competition among the bigs to be “really high,” but added, “That’s what you want in a team. You want to know that everyday when you come to practice you’re going to have to work and you’re going to have to give it your best.”

Some might call this a "good problem." It's better to have a bunch of quality players than only one or two. But Boston runs the risk of alienating a player or two who thinks they deserve more minutes than Stevens is giving.

None of this is simple.
