Ohio State University has announced plans to honor Turner's three-year career during a Feb. 16 halftime ceremony at Value City Arena. From that day forward, his jersey will hang next to Havlicek's, Jerry Lucas's, Jim Jackson's and Gary Bradds's.
"It's unbelievable for our program," Ohio State coach Thad Matta said Saturday, according to Cleveland.com. "The one thing here is it's very difficult to get your jersey hung in the rafters. As I reflect back on Evan, when he started here and what he's done from day one, what he meant to Ohio State basketball, I could not be happier. I will smile every time I look up and see that thing up there."
Lucas, Jackson and Bradds all won college player of the year awards, while Havlicek, a Hall of Famer, settled for eight NBA championships, 13 NBA All-Star appearances, five NBA All-Defensive first teams, and becoming the leading scorer in Celtics history.
After averaging 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 6.2 points per game as an Ohio State junior in 2009-10, Turner captured a host of Player of the Year awards, including the AP Player of the Year, Naismith Player of the Year and the John R. Wooden award. He declared for the draft after that season and the Philadelphia 76ers selected him No. 2 overall. Five-plus years later, he is averaging 9.5 points, 4.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds for the Celtics as a versatile bench wing.
According to the Ohio State student newspaper, Turner finished his collegiate career No. 18 on the school list in scoring (1,517 points) and No. 9 in assists (404) despite skipping his senior season. SB Nation's Ohio State blog reported players will still be able to wear the No. 21 in the future.
Maybe some of them will also wear a similar mouthguard:

Re: Turner's Number To Be Raised To The Rafters Next To Havlicek's
and he's a guy who knows how to get two T's quickly also!!
frankly, I liked it myself.
the game was over and since Stevens is not the type of coach to give the refs hell, when they call a bad game all night, someone has to.
its the only thing I would change about Brad...he seems too nice at times.
in my mind I see him talking to the refs after a horrible call:
" ummm, ummm......escue me......sir....I beleieve that call was not correct....DARN IT.
ref:
Keep that up and I will give you a t
Brad:
sorry, my bad.
sometimes you need to throw a chair
or two
