Good luck to all who are playing in the Sam's Celtics Forum NCAA Bracket Pool.

These are some of the best and most exciting basketball games played every year.

Two minutes to the first game (12:20 Eastern) and then three consecutive weekends of great games.

Best sporting event ever created IMO.

NYCelt,

Agree. I love the Cinderella possibilities that happen every year. I really fell in love with with the NCAA Tournament back in 1985. Some school I had never heard of, at that time, beat a heavily favorite Georgtown team lead by Patrick Ewing. I had no idea where Villanova was located.

After that, I was hooked. Are you a Syracuse fan? There were some exciting early games this morning, my time. BYU and Florida in double overtime to kick things off was outstanding! I am waiting for the San Diego ST. and Tennessee game starting in about 30 minutes.

Go Aztecs!

MG,

I'm a Syracuse fan by residence, but a Wisconsin fan by college years.

I see you're an Axtecs fan; alma mater?

Watching Kansas vs. Lehigh now. surprisingly close so far, but i can't see that lasting. Brackets going good so far, including my pick on Old Dominion over Notre Dame. N Iowa, whom I picked in all my brackets, gave me a scare letting UNLV get so close but they got it done.

I had the feed on at my office as I do each year. Of course I got very little done today! The first two games were nail biters, and yes that BYU double OT win was incredible.

I've got SD State in half of my brackets that I play, so I've got my fingers crossed. They're down by 6 with 2;30 to go in the 1st as I write this.

Enjoy the games!

NYCelt,

I am an Aztec Fan only by living in San Diego since 1985. I try to pull for the local team. My true favorite college team is UCLA. Have been a fan of them almost as long as I have been a Laker Fan. Unfortunately for me, UCLA really stunk it up this year. To many graduating and/or leaving school early.

I really felt San Diego ST. would beat Tennessee. Obviously I was wrong. The Aztecs should be back even better next year. They only have one senior and he was not even a primary option off the bench. All the starters, including 2 freshman starters, will return next year. The one thing they lacked this year was a sharpshooter from the outside that could stretch the defenses. Locally here they are talking about that type of player coming in next year who has already committed. He is red shirting this year.

How about the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). I am pulling for them now. Besides being an underdog just beating Kansas, they are located around where by wife's family lives.

So far UNI, Washington Huskeys, and St. Marys' are in the Sweet 16. I am pulliing for all three for different reasons. I love this time of year!

Take care and enjoy the rest of the tourney and the final count down of the NBA Season.

The University of Northern Iowa!

Greg Gumbel made the appropriate comment following yesterday's Kansas loss; "That ripping sound you just heard was bracket sheets being torn up across the country".

I'm now happy for the extra brackets I played taking Kentucky to win, although I once managed to take a pool without having the champion right, but getting enough points out of my Elite Eight and Final Four teams to do the trick.

Great games this year; among the best I can remember.

P.S. to Mustang Gator; I read something pointing out that it seems impossible that you could have the tournament and UCLA, NC and Indiana all fail to make it. You've got it right about loving this time of year. Hoop-junkie paradise.
