Rosalie I heard one of the pundits, can't remember who but it wasn't your good friend Kyle Draper , state they wouldn't be surprised if Kelly's minutes are reduced due to poor play but the team will cover for him and say his shoulder is bothering him.
Normally I'm not one for conspiracy theories........

I can see them doing this, but.....Sully certainly is not burning down any bridges either, so are we praying for Tyler to come off the bench and shock everyone like he did last week? This is a mess, I think Sully, if he does not play well, has played himself off this team

Re: KELLY OLYNIK
Come on, if the guy is hurt he is hurt. Why would the coach play him all along trying to get into the playoffs and then not play him in the playoffs unless he is hurt.
Not sure that just "poor play" on Saturday would have resulted in Olynyk having ice strapped to all parts of his shoulder during the game.
I do not think that anyone can possibly place themselves in another's body and determine if the athlete is hurt or not. If he was faking an injury, his entire team would know and would ostracize him for such an action.
If he can effectively play, he will play.

Re: KELLY OLYNIK
I think Kelly is injured and will have surgery after the Celtics season is over.
Kelly was playing really well until he got hurt and then never totally recovered. It is just that simple, IMO.

Re: KELLY OLYNIK
If Kelly's shoulder injury has turned him into a doofus, and if surgery will restore him to being a good player, then we should keep him. If not, get some trade value out of him.
Re: KELLY OLYNIK
gyso - it is fine to say that he was playing well, for how long?? He is such an up and down player,
A kid with alot of talent that just does not know how to use it. If surgery is the answer, go for it.
But, in my honest opinion, he a soft player who does not seem to fight his way back from injury the way
a young guy should. This is my opinion, I believe the kid has talent, and he gets us so excited by throwing us
a few good to great games, and then disappearing.
How long to you keep a guy like this before you cut bait and move in a different direction..

Re: KELLY OLYNIK
Rosalie,
He first got hurt back in December, I think. He was out for a while and it's been good and bad ever since.
I'd wait another season after surgery, maybe longer. Patience is needed, it's only his second year in the pro's.

That is correct, but that doesn't change my opinion. I would still give him another year to see if it is injury or ineptitude.
Arlene and Ken insist.

3 straight years of 20 minutes per game. Stagnated game doesn't bode well for the future.
