Re: Marcus gets the starting nod!!
Marcus informed me last evening that the host team Sandy Creek inadvertantly scheduled 2 games for Saturday (another school and us). They want to move our game to tomorrow eve. Not sure if it would change the coaches plans but I will know more this evening!

His game is still on for Sat at 1 PM. Home school will also play a game at 10 AM against another team.

Beat: If the weather is going to be that nice, Why limit him to 50 pitches? Does Marcus have a history of arm problems?-MD.

I think the coach wants to see as many players as he can in games now as soon as he can.
No marcus has never had any arm issues whatsoever but this coach is very keen on pitch counts. Being Marcus is just 15 im sure he is just being careful. (he's got him for three more years after this)
Last year we had a pitcher whomwas totally abused by the then coach, throwing upwards of 130-140 pitches on a Monday and comming back on thursday to throw 100+ again. This coach will not do that.
The team has 6-7 kids capable of pitching so there is no need for any kid to throw too much.
Plus if Marcus knows he is only going to throw 50ish he does not have to pace himself and can let it hang a bit.
