PRESEASON GAME 3

I don`t see the Celtics play as often as most of you , and hardly ever get the Celts feed, so these are extremely inexpert observations. Scalabrine really does a good job of giving the players perspective. Mickey was a revelation. I didn`t know he could dribble or pass. Gerald Green will really amp up the 2d unit offense and cut down on those dry spells.Tyler Zeller had one of those games he comes up with once in a while. Of course, he was getting a lot more court time than he usually does. Jackson is the closest thing to an actual point guard that we have had since Rondo left. I mean no disrespect to Thomas and am not even suggesting Demetrius will get signicant court time. I`m just talking about a specific skill set , highlighted by great court vision and a feel for spatial relationships. Hunter and Young is still pretty much of a tossup to me. Young defended well today and made some good passes. Whichever one starts knocking down shots will probably prevail. RJ played much more free and easy today, probably because he was guaranteed minutes. He hit one from the parking lot. Gotta love Jerebko`s hustle and versatility.

Thanks for that gyso. Geez , Charlotte`s 1 for 19 from 3 really stands out. Celts announcers never mentioned it ,  but looking back , they threw a whole lotta bricks and airballs

Frank Kiminsky sure looked like a stiff, might be another Jordan bust, what a cheap shot by Wood!!

Jordan Mickey and Zeller hitting their shots, best game of Mickeys career, hope he can build off this. Jalen Brown's shot was off, he has to learn to protect the ball better on his drives, he really already has a strong body, looked surprisingly good defending the bigger Kiminsky, who couldn't do a thing offensively. Jalen already looks stronger to me then Michael Kidd Gillhurst and Andrew Wiggins. He already has the it factor, whenever hes on the floor, I find myself awaiting the type of play that the greats make that cannot be taught. RJ definitely played better than Young today.

The more I watch @Demetrius Jackson, don't see how he slipped to the middle of the 2nd round. Has a lot to learn still, but the talent is undeniable.

I agree that Brown is a mixed bag right now, but they are deep enough to ease him into the lineup, and you are right, cowens, his thundering dunks are going to get the crowd going and excite his teammates.The one he got yesterday, I believe on a pass from Young  off a steal had me jumping out of my chair and its just the preseason. Like Crowder , Smart and Bradley , he seems to have a knack for getting steals by jumping the passing lanes. I don`t want to get carried away, but this team looks deep with talent .Shooting may still be somewhat of an achilles heel , though.

gonna be an exciting season, most of our core is still so young and are all improving, even young vets like AB and Crowder will be improved and Smart and Rozier should make big strides. Brown could be a superstar type in 3 years and would love to see Mickey find his niche and join the party of young talent, I think Mickey has some real attributes and  could be a shot blocking defensive menace, I love those kind of players and hopefully Stevens will figure out how to get the best out of him.

Mickey was very impressive, handling the ball on the break and on the high pick and roll, taking to the rim, hitting the jumper getting up and down at both ends.

was thinking same think.  Hunter is significantly better in handling the ball and making nice passers.  However he spent most of the game aiming instead of shooting the ball.  Young still looks lost most of the time.  At this point I think the edge goes to RJ but the kid Jackson opened a few eyes.

I was thinking same thing.  Hunter is significantly better in handling the ball and making nice passers.  However he spent most of the game aiming instead of shooting the ball.  Young still looks lost most of the time.  At this point I think the edge goes to RJ but the kid Jackson opened a few eyes.
