He Bradley is easily guardable Imo Always seems more like a fourth scorer on a team.

Having your 4th scorer capable of dropping 30 is a luxury though

Melo should be able to go off with Crowder out Jaylen Brown is way too skinny to guard him and there’s no one else on Boston that has the size to matchup. They might try Jerebko which LOL

Kelly Olnyk still has the potential to be better than Dirk Imo  (MY NOTE:  Whoa!  Better?  Pretty good?  Similar?  Sure, but better than a first ballot HOFer!?)

A team worse defensively then us

The Celtics have been playing like trash and are the worst defensive and rebounding team in the NBA.

I have no clue how the Celtics are such a bad defensive team this year. But this matchup will be tough, even if Horford & Crowder can't play.

Horford and Crowder are 2 of their most important defensive players...it would be like if we were missing Noah and Lee

They're a horrible defensive rebounding team which hurts, and they're not forcing turnovers like they used to...IT has also come out and questioned their effort

Celtics are much better team then us... We have slight chance if crowder and horford are out.. Those two are their key players...

Since the Celtics are every blogger's darling eastern conference team and Stevens is a cult hero amongst said bloggers and Ainge is this supposed genius nobody is going to mention it but secretly Al Horford was one of the worst contracts this summer and they're going to regret it down the line.... Panicked when they didn't get KD and overpaid a guy who isn't elevating you to anything special.

I thought Boston was so good and such a deep team that they could survive an injury or two? Incredibly average team/talent that plays hard and smart. We have more potential, I just hope we reach it.

I'm just disgusted with this ref bias. I wont make any excuses for the Knicks leaving them wide open for 3, but seeing the refs letting the Celtics manhandle the Knicks while calling a foul on us almost every time in sickening.

marcus smart is allowed to foul people and it annoys me a lot. I’ve felt this way about him since last season. courtney lee touches thomas and its a whistle; smart is allowed to ride peoples hip to the basket. and I’m not even going to go into his flopping

Our team was on the wrong side of the betting. The league needs the Celtics to be good and they suck right now.

It has nothing to do with betting, it just shows how much money and power the Celtics organization still have in the league. The Celtics franchise still pulls strings around the league that very few can.  (MY NOTE:  Huh?)

Gotta thank Melo for his ejection - giving the team an automatic excuse for losing s game they were going to lose anyway. Defense is still terrible, with or without Carmelo.

In the 13 seasons between 1989 and 2001 the Knicks had 11 seasons in which they won 43 or more games and went 27-23 in the lockout shortened 1999 season in which they made the NBA Finals. They also made the Finals in 1994 and led 3-2, losing two games on the road in similar fashion to the 2010 Celtics. They also made the East semi's 11 times in those 13 seasons. 

So other than not winning a title when they had four truly great teams (1993, 1994, 1995, 1997) who all won between 55-60 games, they were pretty relevant in the 1990's, the decade dominated by Jordan. They are one of the 7-8 best franchise's of the 90's along with the Bulls, Rockets, Pacers, Jazz, Spurs, Blazers and Pistons. Patrick Ewing was an original Dream Teamer and HOF'er.

They clearly have been relevant since Nixon was impeached in the mid 70's, just not since the early days of George W. Bush's administration. I'm not a Knicks sympathizer by any means, and love have far they have fallen the last 15 years, I'm just making sure the truth be told.

I was mostly being hyperbolic, as I actually followed those Knicks teams a bit, having been a big for of Patrick Ewing from his days in Cambridge. But still cant get enough enjoyment out of how obsessed Knicks fans are with the Cetlics.  Then again, I guess I understand.

Haha, yes it is great to mock the Knicks, and that '73 title team comes with a symbolic asterisk of course, as the Celtic team that won the most games ever with 68 had Hondo go down with a shoulder injury in the ECF and still took NY to 7 games. They were also 4-0 against LA in the regular season, the team NY beat in the championship. Ah well. 

In the 90's I'd have liked to have seen the '94 Finals be between Phoenix and NY (Phoenix took a 2-0 lead vs. Rockets and lost in 7) and the '99 Finals been between the Jazz and Pacers (How Bird and Miller let an 8th seeded Camby-Allen Houston-Sprewell team beat them in the ECF is beyond me). Then you'd have had one of Ewing-Barkley and either Stockton/Malone or Miller/Coach Bird get rings. Olajuwon still got his with Drexler in '95. But things never usually get tied up all nice and neat like that in sports.
