I guess there were also reports we signed Oliver Lafayette who seems to be a Rondo-like guard and has had a decent finish to his year in the D-league.

Maybe Doc will be kind and put them in for a few minutes; It will give them both something to tell their kids one day.

NY I just read in the Globe that they did in fact sign Lafayette. It said they signed the two of them in hopes that they would join the summer league team for the C's. It also said neither would be at the game tonight, but it's possible they could get some minutes tomorrow night.

It's good to find some summer league prospects, but here's the major upside to this;

We didn't sign Mikki Moore or Mark Blount!

To be clear, this signing is for the summer league, not now nor for next year. We signed Coby Karl and Mike Sweetney too, if you remember.

Gaffney is 6'8", 208#s. That's a toothpick.

Lafayette is a 6'2" guard. He's putting up pretty good numbers in D-league. Not shooting very well, but a little better than a 2:1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

I would say that this is for now and for next summer after reading that sentence.

I had read the same thing.

One or both can be eligible for the play-offs if they are included on the 12 man roster which must be submitted by Thursday. Highly unlikely.
