Russ is a great player but this thing is way out of hand. 41 million a year for a guy who has never won a big game in his life?

It's a max deal for a guy with his experience level and ability. None of us has to "like" it, it's just what the market has dictated. I don't begrudge the guy anything. If my boss shoved that contract in front of me, I'd sign it, too!

He was rich and now he's super rich.
OKC fans can now relax since he is there for the long term.

I dont see how it is possible to build a team in OKC when you have Westbrook at 41 million per, Carmello at 27 million per and Stephen Adams at 25 million per?

They were already over the cap and luxury tax - before adding 11 million per and with George at the reasonable 20 million.

Looks like the Paul George to the Lakers in the summer of 2018 is not a sure thing.

Westbrook is clearly pleased with the moves OKC management has made. If not for these trades, I doubt he'd be staying.

Plus, his contract could be incentive enough for PG13 to stay. Looks like LA will be a lottery team longer than they were hoping.
