West is the best? Not right now!
I know it's only about 20% of the season but in conference vs conference games the East is a +9. 52-43 overall record 95 games out of a total of 900 or 10.5% of the "crossover games)
Laugh when I see the comments that Bobheckler posts in the comments from the other side bits claiming we have played a weak schedule.
Well we sort of have to play the teams that are on it when they are on it.
After another 10-15 games, it will be interesting to see if the trend continues.

Several good young teams in the East right now, so dominance may eventually shift.
If both can retain players they now have, Boston, and yes, Philadelphia, should be among them.
Milwaukee, Washington and Detroit have rosters that hold some promise too.

Re: West is the best? Not right now!
Things can change quickly while the vast majority continues to rely on old info.
The idea was that Ainge was looking at about three more years before the C's could finally make the plunge as a top contender. We'd have to wait for Lebron to turn 36. We'd have to wait until Golden State came back to earth whether by injuries or money factors finally breaking up their superteam.
So many assumed the West would always be better than the East. Orlando and Detroit emerging to go with Toronto, Washington and Cleveland, plus the Celtics gives the East six strong teams.
Offense is way out of control this year. The East is historically the more lunch pail conference with the West as graceful showtime. Maybe that is the difference. The East teams are tougher. The West has been so strong, that the better draft picks have been going to the East. Maybe it's inevitable that the East becomes stronger than the West. Although the West has been kicking the East's butt for quite a long time.
